We’ve been busy the past few weeks with magazine and radio interviews that will be airing soon.

“Into The Blue” with Terry Herd will feature an interview with Sammy Shelor Dec. 21st through Dec. 27th on the Bluegrass Radio network [200 Stations].

“Knee Deep In Bluegrass” with Cindy Baucom will feature an interview with Sammy Shelor in the next few weeks.

“The XM-Sirius In Studio Special” with Kyle Cantrell will air the weekend of Jan. 9th with LRB performing 8 songs from the new cd “No Turning Back” along with in depth interviews with all the boys in the band. We had a great time with Kyle doing this show!!

 Also look for the LRB cover story in the next issue of ”Americana Rhythm Magazine” due out soon.

Over the past couple of years I have become involved with “The Virginia Heritage Music Trail” otherwise known as “The Crooked Road”. This project features the music and musicians from Southwest Virginia.                                                  

Join my wife Sue at her shop, Mountain Meadow Farm and Craft Market at 12134 Squirrel Spur Road, Meadows of Dan, Va on Dec 6th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm  for a special “Grazing Along The Crooked Road” book signing. This is a fantastic cookbook that highlights recipes from all 10 counties along The Crooked Road. It includes folklore, recipes, and home remedies compiled by Betty Skeens and Libby Bondurant. Don’t miss out on this chance to meet Betty and Libby. Refreshments will be served.

The Roots Music Association membership has nominated Lonesome River Band in the Bluegrass Artist of the Year category for the 2008 Roots Music Association Awards. The awards ceremony will take place during our upcoming Conference and Music Festival taking place in San Marcos, Texas on November 14 thru 16, 2008. You can see more info  @ www.thewumf.com
